October 14, 2011 - 13 Spruce Street Stabbing


  On 9 October 2011, The Nashua Police Department responded to a reported stabbing in front of 13 Spruce Street. Mr. Paul Frontiero was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Two other people, Jill Arnold, 29 and Kathryn Libby, 29 were also injured during the incident. Arnold suffered minor cuts while Libby suffered more serious stab wounds. Neither were life threatening.


  The Detective Bureau immediately commenced an investigation, speaking with witnesses while the department’s crime scene unit processed the crime scene. In furtherance of this investigation, Matthew Packer was developed as the person responsible for the stabbing. An arrest warrant was issued for his arrest charging him with 2nd Degree Murder.


  Packer was located and taken into custody on 10 October 2011, without incident. The following day he was returned to the State of NH where he was arraigned on the murder charge. Packer is being held without bail.


  The investigation continues in furtherance of this crime.
