Under the supervision of a civilian Records Manager, the Nashua Police Department’s Records Division continually provides information, assistance and direction to the public. There are currently six (6) Records Technicians covering three shifts responsible for the security, retrieval, and release of reports and criminal records. The daily duties include maintaining and entering all permits, licenses, restraining orders and warrants under federal, state and city guidelines into the Information Management Corporation (IMC) Records Management System (RMS).
The Division is also responsible for the reporting of data to the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) and Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted (LEOKA). There are currently two (2) Records Technicians responsible for reading and verifying all information captured in all incident & arrest reports for accuracy. On a monthly basis this information is reported through the State UCR unit to the FBI for the annual Crime in the United States, Hate Crime Statistics, and Killed in the Line of Duty publications.
